Fernando Diego

Fernando Diego brings 20 years of experience in commercial construction, having built his career through project management and leadership roles across all levels of the company. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Fernando began his career in the San Antonio construction market and has earned a reputation for successfully delivering highly complex projects.

As Chief Executive Officer of METRO, Fernando provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the firm. He oversees all aspects of the company, including project execution, business development, financial performance, risk management, and team development. Known for his hands-on leadership style, Fernando is actively involved in all business operations to support teams, ensure accountability, and drive consistent execution. His greatest professional passion is mentoring and developing the next generation of METRO leaders.

Fernando is a graduate of the RECSA Leadership Development Program, served as the 2022 President of The Real Estate Council of San Antonio (RECSA), and is a former member of the San Antonio Mayor’s Utility Task Force.  Fernando and his wife, Analy Diego, are proud parents of two sons, Fernando Diego IV and Emilio Diego. A third-generation cattleman, Fernando remains actively involved in his family’s cattle production and whitetail deer hunting operations.
