Weston Centre has been an iconic landmark in the San Antonio skyline since it opened in 1989. It is home to some of the largest and most prestigious companies in the San Antonio area and has become an epicenter in the law and tech community over the years, Including companies such as Rackspace and Dykema Cox Smith. METRO was hired to perform the first, comprehensive renovation of its entry floor and lobbies in nearly 30 years. Working closely with the owner and design team, the work included 12,000 square feet and a 3-story atrium and was executed in 4-phases, often after-hours, to insure that the lobby remained useable throughout the 12-month schedule. As the lobby completed, work began on the adjacent 26,043 square foot BBVA-Compass downtown headquarters. The work spanned 4.5 months and included high-end office finishes and a unique 45’ tall, back-lit, 3-Form wall.
