The Ethan Allen Bee Cave project was a 7,520-square-foot, retail
transformation that consolidated three existing tenant spaces into a single
high-end showroom and design center. Serving as general contractor, METRO led a
coordinated effort with the architect, engineers, property management, and a
nationwide network of vendors to align scope, schedule, and design intent from
the outset. The work involved full interior demolition and a refined build-out
featuring bespoke finishes, modernized façades, and tailored design spaces.
Significant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades were executed,
including the installation of new rooftop units via carefully sequenced crane
operations that avoided disruption to adjacent tenants.
Beyond its physical transformation, the project
distinguished itself through disciplined coordination, adaptive
problem-solving, and a strong emphasis on quality and safety. METRO implemented
real-time safety tracking and digital documentation systems, leveraged Procore
to centralize communication across geographically dispersed trades.
Midway through construction, unexpected utility regulation
changes required a full redesign of the power system; through rapid
collaboration and re-sequencing, the team absorbed this disruption without
impacting schedule or budget. Completed on time and under budget with a
zero-incident safety record, the project stands as a benchmark for executing
complex, high-end retail environments through proactive planning, integrated
technology, and collaborative delivery.
