The UTI San Antonio Training Facility involved the 50,584-square-foot renovation of a former retail space into a hands-on learning environment built for technical education.

The project focused on reshaping an open commercial layout into purposeful training areas that reflect real-world conditions. Students can develop a range of technical skills through hands-on instruction, including aviation training with small aircraft and helicopters, welding in dedicated bays, and work with HVAC systems within the warehouse space. These areas are supported by additional training environments designed to accommodate a variety of skilled trades.

The result is a flexible, high-quality facility that supports UTI’s mission of preparing students for careers in the skilled trades while contributing to workforce development in the San Antonio community.
